Blush Studio was the birth child of the one and only Lisa Bova, who opened it as an esthetics studio nearly 5 years ago. As a friend and client of Lisa's, I've stepped in and taken over ownership, and have added hair services as well.
Over the past 2 months since the transition took place, I've had the tremendous pleasure of working with long-time clients of Lisa's, and have enjoyed every minute. Week after week I've met a ton of fantastic people and we've had a blast (yes, even during brazilian waxings!)
About Jenn (formally)
An aesthetic naturalist, I'm a lover of beauty. I see it in all of its unique forms, in everything and everyone. I appreciate the role that skin care and hair care play together in enhancing a person's beauty, and relentlessly study the two disciplines to ensure expert consultation and service.
I have spent 21 of my 36 years in existence working in the beauty industry. Licensed for the past 8 years, I have studied under exceptional artists in both skin and hair arenas in Columbus, Orlando, and Manhattan. I occupy an insatiable hunger for expanded understanding of science and technique, and nothing excites me more than to be able to share it with my clients.
About Jenn (informally)
I think it's uber important that you all know my credentials, but I think it's equally important to share a bit about myself personally. After all, we are working together to make you the best version of yourself, so knowing about each other makes that process more fun!
Here are some random factoids about me:
What I love most about my job: I feel recharged by my clients. Seeing them, talking with them, and providing exceptional service feeds my soul. I'm the luckiest girl in the world to be able to do what I do.
Biggest hair and skin care regrets: Before I was officially schooled in the practice of cutting hair, I couldn't resist experimenting on my own head. My final year of college I gave myself the most hideous of all mullets (I was going for a shag!) that took over 2 years to grow out. Fun times.
Skin-wise, my biggest regret is not starting an anti-aging regiment in my twenties. There's only so much we can do to move the clock backwards when it comes to our skin aging, so I'm really passionate about educating people and providing a skin care line that is incredibly effective, and reasonably priced to help address all skin concerns.
Interests outside of work: There isn't much I love more than my work, but I do like to spend time with my family (especially my nieces!), I love my small collection of cats (4 isn't too bad, right?) and I'll soon be in the market for another beloved dog. I'm starting belly dancing classes with one of my clients next week, and I love seeing live music.
Work-related quirks: I re-arrange things almost every week. And I refuse to use anything but the highest quality products. I don't skimp on anything, and that ensures the best possible outcomes. Also, I clean constantly. Everything from the door knobs to the wheels on my rolling carts are disinfected regularly. Not only is it the law to uphold sanitation standards, I believe it's a sign of respect and gratitude towards my guests. I care about each and every one of you, and your health and well-being is my priority.
Things to Come
We've got a few things in the ole bag 'o tricks on the horizon. Be on the lookout for information regarding the #MakeSomeoneBlush campaign, and my upcoming Open House featuring special guest, the one and only Lisa Bova!
